Google tablet vs. IOS fight is no longer linked to mobile phones. The Google tablet system is based on the Android operating and introduce a range of innovative features with tablets based on Android, which we like much more than their counterparts on the IPAD features. The notification
system in IOS has always been a long-term irritation to its users. This has been a problem on the iPhone, but it is especially frustrating, where there is room to use so much less intrusive options. The Android’s new built-in declarations are very useful and stay out of your way. Music controls are easily set up from the bottom of the screen and does not require double-click the Home button and an additional slip just pause or change songs. When you receive a message in Android, you get a nice little message that fades into the bottom of the screen to let you know, without interruption.
The IPAD’s, notifications are by way of pop-ups and are not only interrupting to what you’re doing, but can sometimes cause a large enough disruption that it will make you lose a game, lose your position in a video, or close out the Web.
Multitasking
Although IOS has never claimed to have a true multitasking system, Apple has avoided this mainly because of battery life and performance issues. Although we can’t know how the battery life will be affected by multitasking on newer hardware featuring a dual-core processors designed for tablets, undoubtedly there should be more than enough power to run a real multitasking system. Android’s 3.0 (Honeycomb) multitasking panel is not only easier to train with a simple touch of the screen (as opposed to double clicking the home button iPad), but it also gives insights into lots of running applications and is easy to navigate. This is a simple, effective part of the user interface, and it’s something Apple should already understand. Even the jailbreak community has found a way to do this effectively, it would be nice to see a better official multitasking software update from Apple sooner rather than later.
Improving the home screen
The camera application (best)
Have you noticed how there are a ton of better IOS camera applications? This is because the existing one in IOS is basically just a button. The first generation IPAD did not even have a camera, but is a feature on the second generation. While I love the Apple “only what you need” philosophy, I think most of us need more than one toggle button for photo / video taking. Although Google’s photo app can be a bit heavy on the side functions, it would be nice to see the iPad camera have an application that would be a nice compromise between the two.
Purchase apps in a web browser and no synchronization
I think the iTunes App Store works fine if you buy on your computer or directly from your IPAD. The new Android Market Web Store is the real winner, which allows you can buy programs on your computer, and send them to your device and avoid synchronization altogether. I will not hesitate to show much I hate to synchronize with bloatware, which is iTunes, and if I could get a new feature in IOS it would be to cut the cord. Please do not continue to allow us to synchronize Apple. It’s boring, boring and slow. Android has the right idea here. Take note.
All of these features make the Google Tablet our top pick.
